CR2 supports Link for Aid initiative in Myanmar
CR2, a leading global provider of digital banking software is proud to financially assist a photography project run by Link for Aid, a non-profit organisation that helps disadvantaged children in Myanmar and Cambodia.
For the Sound of Images project eight deaf children, aged 12 to 15, from across Myanmar, captured images of the Southeast Asian country’s former capital city, to produce a book called ‘Silent Yangon’. The children, who had no previous experience of photography used smartphones, and were given free daily tutorials by a professional photographer.
All proceeds from sales of Silent Yangon help support educational and social projects for the 350 children from the Mary Chapman School for the Deaf, the Parami Orphanage in Dala, and the NLC Aids Centre for Children in Yangon.
“We are committed to supporting and investing in the communities where we work and we are pleased to make a contribution to help this very worthy charity in Myanmar”, said Fintan Byrne, CEO of CR2.
“This contribution by CR2 is most welcome; funds raised through this initiative go directly to where they are most needed, providing access to education for deaf orphaned and underprivileged children,”, added Pamela McCourt Francescone, founder of Link for Aid.
